Clover and the Queens
My hope with these illustrations is to provide the space for each character to tell the story of how they want to change the way animals and humans intersect, better than words ever could.
The stories will be of kindness, beauty and freedom but above all love for the little creatures and those who keep them safe.
Clover is one of the Naturalists. The Queens are Clovers familiars and she tends to their every need and desire. By day they search for fields filled with clover, but this is becoming more difficult as the years progress and the fields are replaced with homes for humans. Nonetheless they stay focused on the mission to find fields of flowers for their families. At night the Queens and Clover rest in her beautiful flower filled castle which offers the high priestesses the opportunity to grieve in private. Clover is a warrior and embodies the essence of truth. She offers her home in love and gratitude and her heart while tinged with sadness can’t help feel free knowing the good she is doing for the world.

I have created these works with Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils on Canson Cotton Paper. Each original is sized at A2 which equates to 42 x 59 cm.
These works are sold unframed with a white mat surround so that you can simply take to the framers or slip into your favourite ikea frame.
